Ingredients

icon-toma 2 Habanero peppers La Costeña, chopped 
icon-toma 8 oz Whole black beans La Costeña, drained and rinsed
icon-toma 1 lb Ground beef
icon-toma 1/2 Onion diced
icon-toma 2 Garlic cloves, minced
icon-toma 1 Bell pepper, any color, diced
icon-toma 9 oz Diced tomatoes
icon-toma 1/2 cup Beef broth
icon-toma 1/2 cup Dark beer
icon-toma 1 Tsp cumin
icon-toma 1 Tbsp brown sugar
icon-toma   Salt and pepper to taste
icon-toma   Cooking oil as needed

Directions

Step 1
Season the ground beef with salt and pepper and set aside.
Step 2
In a large skillet, sauté the onion and garlic until fragrant and incorporate the bell pepper and the habanero; cook for a few minutes.
Step 3
Add the ground beef and brown evenly.
Step 4
Add the Black beans, diced tomatoes, beef broth, cumin, dark beer and sugar. Stir well and bring to a boil.
Step 5
Taste and season with salt and pepper.
