icon-toma 2 cans La Costeña Whole Black Beans
icon-toma 4 Bacon Strips
icon-toma 5lbs lb. bone-in pork ribs
icon-toma 1/4 Cup all purpose flour 
icon-toma 4 Cups beef broth
icon-toma 1/2 yellow onion, coarsely chopped
icon-toma 2 garlic cloves, minced
icon-toma 1 bay leaf
icon-toma Taste   Salt & Pepper

 

Directions

Step 1
Cook the bacon in a frying pan until halfway cooked (3-4 minutes). Set aside.
Step 2
Coat the pork ribs with all-purpose flour and sear on all sides. Set aside.
Step 3
Add the black beans, beef broth, onion, garlic and bay leaf to a pot. Bring to a boil.
Step 4
Add the pork ribs and the bacon. Simmer for 10-15 minutes over a medium flame.
Step 5
Remove the bay leaf and serve.
