- In a mixing bowl, combine the chicken, cheese, salsa, jalapenos, and spices.
- Spoon a large tablespoon of the mixture into the middle of each tortilla.
- Roll the tortillas tightly and secure each with a toothpick or two
- In a large saucepan, heat about ¾ an inch of oil on medium heat.
- Using tongs, hold the flautas into the hot oil until firm, then release and allow to continue cooking.
- Cook until golden brown, then move to a paper towel lined baking sheet and sprinkle with salt
- Serve warm with desired toppings.
