Diabla shrimp with chipotle

Directions

Step 1 Blend the tomatoes, onion and chipotle peppers. Season with salt and pepper and set aside.
Step 2 Add the butter to a large frying pan over a low flame. Sauté the minced garlic and immediately add the shrimp. Cook on both sides until cooked halfway through (3-5 minutes.)
Step 3 Scoop the shrimp aside.
Step 4 Add the tomato sauce to the same pan and bring to a boil.
Step 5 Incorporate the shrimp with the sauce and simmer for 5 minutes or until cooked.
Step 6 Serve and garnish with chopped cilantro.

Notes:

Reduce the sauce until thick before adding the shrimp for a heartier and spicier meal.

3 oz (half a small can) of La Costeña Chipotle Peppers  

Salt and pepper to taste 

4 tbsp butter 

2 lbs. Medium-sized shrimp, peeled.  

2 garlic cloves, minced 

1/4 cup chopped cilantro
