Huaraches de Chicharrón

 Ingredients 

  • La Costeña Black Refried Beans
  • La Costeña Homestyle Mexican Salsa  
  • Chicharrón carnudo  
  • Poblano peppers 
  • Sour cream 
  • Queso cotija 
  • Avocado 
  • 2 cups Corn flour 
  • 1 tsp baking powder 
  • Salt 
  • 1tbsp Chicken broth powder  




In a pan with hot oil add sauce and bring to a boil.  
Add chicharron and poblano peppers.
 Mix and bring to a boil.  
In a bowl, mix corn flour, baking powder, salt, and broth.
Mix it well until the dough holds together well by adding additional water if necessary.  

Divide dough into 4 equal portions. Shape each portion into a 6-inch-long log on a sheet of waxed paper. 


Serve and Dough Directions: 
In a bowl mix corn dough, water, salt, chicken broth powder and oil.  
You can use a tortilla press or a rolling pin to press the dough balls into circles.  with La Costeña Whole Black Beans. 
Press each log into a 1/8-inch-thick oval disc, about 4 X 8 inches.  
Fry each patty of dough till it's light brown.
