Directions

Step 1 Drain and rinse the whole beans.
Step 2 Heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a large skillet and sauté the onion and garlic until translucent.
Step 3 Pour the tomato purée and bay leaf; combine. Add the beans and cook until steamy.
Step 4 Add the cheese and combine until it melts.
Step 5 Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 6 Air-fry or deep-fry the fries, toss them with salt and place them in a tray.
Step 7 Top the fries with the bean mixture and garnish with jalapeños, sour cream and avocado.

Notes:

Add your favorite toppings for other colorful versions. 

Season with your favorite herbs and spices.

  • 1/4 yellow onion, sliced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 7oz (200ml) tomato purée
  • 5 oz whole pinto beans La Costeña
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • 1 lb. frozen fries
  • Nacho jalapeños La Costeña, to taste
  • 2-3 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • Cooking oil to taste
