Step 1

Pour the canola oil into a large skillet and fry the corn tortillas until golden. Allow the shells to drain on a wire rack and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.

Step 2

Heat another tablespoon of oil in your pan and sauté the garlic and onions until fragrant,
about 30 seconds. 

Step 3

Add in the ground turkey and taco seasoning, cooking thoroughly and then set aside. 

 

Step 4

Add the refried beans to a hot pan. 

Step 5

Add in about 1/2 cup of sour cream and stir until heated through. 

Step 6

Assemble the tostadas. Add a layer of refried beans, then turkey.

Step 7

Add desired toppings, such as shredded lettuce, Mexican crema, hot sauce, and a squeeze of lime.

  • 1 can La Costeña refried pinto beans with jalapeño 46fa3bc6-51d7-4832-8ae4-3637b646fc90
  • Frying oil of your choice to make tostada shells
  • 10 corn tortillas
  • Flaky sea salt
  • 1 lb ground turkey, chicken, or beef
  • 1/2 white onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 1 tbsp fresh minced garlic
  • Sour cream
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Cotija cheese
  • 1/2 lime
