Directions

Step 1 Add the butter to a saucepan on medium heat, sauté the onion until translucent and incorporate the garlic, cook until fragrant.
Step 2 Add the drained tomatillos and the vegetable broth, allow to boil.
Step 3 Blend the contents and add the cream for a silky tomatillo soup and the cilantro for extra flavor.
Step 4 Bring back to the stovetop and warm until steamy.
Step 5 Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper

Notes:

Add a jalapeño to the mix for a spicy tomatillo soup.
