Step 1 Season the ground beef with salt and pepper and set aside.
Step 2 In a large skillet, sauté the onion and garlic until fragrant and incorporate the bell pepper and the habanero; cook for a few minutes.
Step 3 Add the ground beef and brown evenly.
Step 4 Add the Black beans, diced tomatoes, beef broth, cumin, dark beer and sugar. Stir well and bring to a boil.
Step 5 Taste and season with salt and pepper.


Alternatively, garnish with a hefty addition of grated cheese and a side of tortilla chips.
