• 5 Tablespoons of corn oil
  • 2 Large onions (chopped)
  • 5 Cloves of garlic (chopped)
  • 2 La Costeña Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce (chopped)
  • 2 lbs 4 oz (1 Kilo) Ground beef sirloin
  • 2 12 oz (350g) Packages of Diced Tomato
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper (to taste)
  • 1 Teaspoon of ground cumin
  • ½ Teaspoon of powdered chili
  • 2 Tablespoons of paprika
  • 2 Tablespoons of dried oregano
  • 2 Sticks of cinnamon
  • ¼ Teaspoon of ground cloves
  • 2 20 oz (560g) Cans of La Costeña Whole Pinto Beans

How to

Heat the oil in a medium saucepan, add the onion and garlic and fry until transparent. Add the chipotle peppers, add the meat and fry until golden; add the rest of the ingredients (except for the pinto beans). Cover the saucepan and simmer for 25 minutes. Add the beans and cook for another 15 minutes with the saucepan covered. Remove the cinnamon sticks and serve with very hot wheat tortillas.
