BOTANA DE CAMARON

Are you looking for something fast and light to serve to your family? This Botana de Camaron – shrimp snack recipe – is delicious and nutritious. Just remove the chilis’ seeds (depending on how spicy you want the recipe) chop them, then mix with the lemon juice, onion and a drizzle of olive oil. Place shrimp and slices of avocado on a plate, bathing them with the mixture of chiles and onions, a little olive oil and sprinkle with oregano and coriander. Serve the delicious botana de camaron with some crackers.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 5 La Costeña jalapeno peppers
  • 2 Lemons
  • 1 small chopped onion
  • Olive oil
  • ¼ lb. cooked small shrimp
  • 3 sliced avocados
  • Oregano to taste
  • 4 Tbsp. chopped cilantro

HOW TO:

Remove seeds from jalapeño peppers and chop. Mix with lemon juice, onion and a little olive oil. Arrange shrimp and avocado slices on a platter. Pour the onion and jalapeño pepper mixture and a little olive oil over the shrimp, and then sprinkle with oregano and cilantro.
