This mouth watering recipe for Bean Dip is perfect for football season. Serve it at a party or for a family dinner. This Bean Dip is quick, easy and delicious.


  • 1 chopped garlic clove 
  • 1 chunk chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup La Costeña ranch-style sauce 
  • 1 can La Costeña refried pinto beans 
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1/2 cup (150 g) grated cheddar cheese Chopped  cilantro
  • Totopos 


To make this delicious Bean Dip, sauté garlic and onion. Add sauce and let it reduce slightly by cooking at low heat for 5 minutes. Add ·beans and stir well. Remove from heat, add cream and cheese. Mix well. Garnish with cilantro and serve with totopos (crisp tortilla chips). The taste of the bean depends on the variety. (They range from the sweeter flavored pinto, mayacoba, cranberry and pink beans to the slightly bitter black and ayocote beans. The white bean is mostly used to prepare European style dishes.)
